The Creative Case for Diversity is Arts Council England’s approach to diversity and equality; a way of exploring how organisations and artists can enrich the work they do by embracing a wide range of influences and practices.
Through the Creative Case, Arts Council England is inviting the arts and cultural sector to engage with a new and different approach to diversity and equality in the arts.
This arts and culture-driven concept of diversity as opportunity represents a shift in perspective, from regarding diversity as a prescriptive aspect of equality legislation to understanding its creative potential and the ways in which it can promote long -term organisational resilience.
We believe that embracing the Creative Case helps organisations not only enrich their work, but also address other challenges and opportunities in audience development, public engagement, workforce and leadership.”
